Sit back, relax, and be moved by stories from #The68Percent of people in New Jersey who know someone impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Watch the full “We Take Care of Our Own” benefit now, from the comfort of your home.

Over the weekend of June 26th, in partnership with Hip New Jersey, we were proud to host the “We Take Care of Our Own” televised benefit on News 12+.  The COVID-19 health crisis meant the cancellation of all our spring events.  We couldn’t gather together to honor all those who work so diligently on behalf of New Jersey’s caregivers and families, or learn from those directly impacted by Alzheimer’s disease in our community. However, that didn’t stop us from wanting to share their stories and give them the spotlight they deserve for all they do, every day.

Alzheimer’s disease is a New Jersey crisis.  68% of New Jersey residents now say they know someone who has or had Alzheimer’s.  Today, over 600,000 New Jersey residents are impacted by this devastating disease. Our “We Take Care of Our Own” Benefit gave a voice to the 68% – a chance to share their stories – a chance to explain the impact of Alzheimer’s on their lives as a person with Alzheimer’s, a caregiver, a spouse, a son, daughter or grandchild.  You will hear their stories and be inspired. And, we hope, moved to support them with a donation, symbolizing the gift of a better day and hope for a cure tomorrow.

If watching this special inspires you to want to share your personal story of being impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, we invite you to do so here:
